Katrina Bikes - Recipients in Seattle and more...
In addition to sending bikes down to Louisiana, the Katrina Bikes Partnership provided
bikes to evacuees in Washington State. Evacuees came from New Orleans, Lake Charles and
other places.
Some of the recipients included students at the University of Washington and Seattle
University who came from Tulane and other universities in Louisiana that were shut down
after the hurricane.
Some of the recipients joined the volunteers at the hangar, helping out as needed. We
felt privileged to spend time with such a great group of recipients.
