Gasworks - Magnolia - Seward Park

SBTC members decide on a close-in Seattle ride with the excitement
of a fun country ride, Gasworks to Magnolia to Seward Park and back.

To get to Magnolia from Gasworks, riders go west on the trail
through Ballard to the Boat Canal Locks.

From the locks we go to Discovery Park, then along Magnolia Bluffs
to the downtown bike trail taking you through Myrtle Edwards Park.

After a quick break at Seattle's Olympic Sculpture Park, we head along
Alaskan Way for a refreshment break in the International District.

From this point we pick up the I-90 Bike Trail to Lake Washington Blvd
and go south along the lake to Seward Park.

After one more quick stop going north at Leschi and another
unexpected stop near the Arboretum to fix a flat, we head for home.

The ride wasn't that long, but it had a little of everything
and without a doubt all had a fun day of cycling.
