Whidbey Island

Whidbey Island has some of the most scenic cycling in the Puget Sound.
While it is a little hilly, it's rough terrain is compensated by its raw beauty.

From the Clinton Ferry Dock, the first stop is Langely. For bicyclists
this means one great place for fresh baked pastries and coffee.

From Langely to Freeland you go slightly inland on rural farm roads
and then back to the water for more views of the Sound.

At Freeland we veer off the route to visit the Freeland Ship Builders
and then head south to Langely with Ice Cream on our mind.

After some quick refreshments everyone is ready for the trip home.
It's been a great day of cycling which couldn't have been more fun.
