Tukwila - Green River Trail

Our this week's Sunday ride started from Tukwila Community Center
and went along the Green River to Auburn.

This is one of the few all flat routes in the club maps library
and with nice weather a lot of members showed up to enjoy the ride.

The route heads south from Tukwila, weaving back and forth across
the river on its way towards Sumner and Mt. Rainier.

Along the way the trail bends in with the Interurban Trail
and continues on as just one trail going south at that point.

In Sumner riders switch to the Foothills Trail but today
everyone stopped at Auburn (10 miles short) for an abbreviated ride.

This portion of the route is about 42 miles in distance compared
to the full loop which is over 90 miles from start to finish.

After a mid way ride stop for refreshments and socializing
everyone heads back to the start.

The normal ride back is all on the Interurban Trail but with nice weather
the group decides to return on the Green River Trail which is more scenic.

Another great day of cycling before all return to work
till the next fun weekend of adventure.
